Ancom Logistics Berhad ("Ancom Logistics") was incorporated in Malaysia on 14 April 1966 under the Companies Ordinances, 1940 to 1946, as a private limited company under the name of Tamco Electrical Engineering Company (Malaysia) Limited. It changed its name to Tamco Electrical Engineering Company (Malaysia) Sdn Berhad on 14 April 1966, Tamco Cutler-Hammer Sdn Berhad on 16 May 1975 and Tamco Corporate Holdings Sdn Berhad on 6 November 1995. It was converted to a public company and changed its name to Tamco Corporate Holdings Berhad ("Tamco") on 15 January 2003 and was listed on the then MASDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 6 July 2004.

Tamco was involved in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of switchgear equipment and system for power distribution and motor control. It has operation in Malaysia, China, Indonesia and Australia. It was also involved in trading and contracting of electrical engineering products and system integration business in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

On 23 April 2008, Tamco disposed of its switchgear business in Malaysia, China, Indonesia and Australia for cash and embarked on a capital repayment exercise. On 23 November 2009, Tamco changed its name to its present form after it has completed a further reorganisation exercise when it acquired the entire equity interest in Synergy Trans-Link Sdn Bhd ("STL"), a company with subsidiaries involving in transportation, warehousing and chemical tank farm business in Malaysia and Singapore.

On 31 January 2011, Ancom Logistics disposed of its investment in the trading and contracting of electrical engineering product and system integration business in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore for cash.

At present, Ancom Logistics is principally an investment holding company. It holds the entire equity interest in STL, which in turn holds the entire equity interest in Pengangkutan Cogent Sdn Bhd, a company involved in transportation of liquid chemical business in Malaysia and Singapore; and 51% equity interest in Ancom Nylex Terminals Sdn Bhd, a company involved in building, owning, operating, leasing and managing a chemical tank farm in West Port, Port Klang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
